Our Men’s & Women’s Club Championship is a two day, 36-Hole Stroke Play (in Flights) event to be held Saturday & Sunday, July 27-28, 2024. Each year, Chesapeake Bay Golf Club’s best member golfers tee it up to claim supremacy. Sign up today!

FORMAT / ELIGIBILITY: 

• 36 Hole Stroke Play.
• This is a gross tournament, but will be pre-flighted by handicap.
• Open ONLY to members of Chesapeake Bay Golf Club and the Player’s Club (golfers who do not have a membership but have their handicap based out of Chesapeake Bay GC).

Men’s Flights:

• CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT (1.9 HDCP or better): Barbin Tees (7183 yds)
• A FLIGHT (2.0 HDCP – 6.9 HDCP): Chesapeake Tees (6832 yds)
• B FLIGHT (7.0 HDCP – 11.9 HDCP): Chantilly Combo Tees (6446 yds)
• C FLIGHT (12.0 HDCP – 16.9 HDCP): Bay Tees (6279 yds)
• D FLIGHT (17.0 HDCP – 21.9 HDCP): Bay / Pines Combo (6028 yds)
• E FLIGHT (22.0 HDCP – 26.9 HDCP): Pines Tees (5840 yds)
• F FLIGHT (27.0 HDCP – 31.9 HDCP): Heron Combo Tees (5315 yds)
• G FLIGHT (32.0 HDCP+): Scarlett Tees (4911 yds)

Ladies’ Flights:

• CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT (14.9 HDCP or better): Pines Tees (5840 yds)
• A FLIGHT (15.0 HDCP – 24.9 HDCP): Heron Combo Tees (5315 yds)
• B FLIGHT (25.0 HDCP – 34.9 HDCP): Scarlett Tees (4911 yds)
• C FLIGHT (35 – 44.9 HDCP): PGA Gold Tees (3915 yds)
• D FLIGHT (45 HDCP+): PGA Blue Tees (2865 yds)

RULES:

• All USGA Rules apply.  All putts must be holed – no gimmies!
• Ball will be played down through green.
• Red stakes & lines indicated penalty areas.  If no markings, consider the hazard indication line to be a club length from the edge.
• White stakes & roads indicate areas that are out of bounds.
• Bunkers may be played rake & replace.
• All mulched areas are also granted free relief.
• We will be adopting the USGA recommended local rule for Out of Bounds / Lost Balls.  If a ball goes out of play, you may take a 2-stroke penalty drop on the edge of the fairway equidistant to the point where the ball went out of play.  This is an alternative option to going back and replaying your shot with a penalty stroke (stroke & distance).

PAYOUT INFORMATION:

• Parking Spot (Champions)
• 30% of the field (or roughly) will be paid out in gift cards.
• An optional skins game of $10 per player per day will be played as well – $5 goes to the overall skins, and $5 goes to in-flight skins.

• Men’s Scoring Record: Austin Barbin (63* – 65 = 128 (-14)) – 2020
• Ladies’ Scoring Record: Arlene Zamora (74 – 70 = 144 ( E )) – 2017
