Zach Barbin Qualifies for 2025 National Assistant PGA Professional Championship
LAFAYETTE HILL, PENNSYLVANIA, July 28, 2025 – PGA of American Golf Professional Zach Barbin of Chesapeake Bay Golf Club qualifies to compete in the 2025 National Assistant PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida on November 13-16, 2025. The top four finishers and ties will earn exemptions into the 2026 PGA Professional Championship.
The top six eligible (plus four alternates) finishers from the 2025 Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Championship at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club administered by the Philadelphia PGA Section advance to play in the National event in November. Zach shot 1-under par (72-71) to clinch one of the spots to move on to the National event.
Ryan Rucinski of Wilmington CC captured first place at 9-under par (66-69). Austin Barbin of Chesapeake Bay Golf Club finished T-2 overall at 5-under par (71-68) in the Philadelphia Assistant Professional Championship tournament, however both players are not yet eligible to compete in the national event as they work through the PGA of America first level.
