Calling all high school aged junior golfers! Starting May 11th, every Sunday* at 3pm we will run an 18-hole individual tournament for ALL junior golfers who are members of our “Player’s Club” (see eligibility information below). The goal of this tournament series is to provide our juniors regular, low-cost 18-hole stroke play competition to keep them sharp, while also offering consultation and guidance to help them land a spot on a college golf team if that is their goal.

This will be a great tune-up for our most serious and established junior golfers, as well as a great opportunity for our less experienced junior golfers to get tournament tough and ready for higher level tournament golf. We are super excited to be the epicenter of this new generation of junior golfers here in Cecil County, and we think this program will be excellent prep for high school and college.

Junior Tournament Series Details

Starts 3PM Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club
Every Sunday* at 3pm Chesapeake Bay Golf Club will run an 18-hole junior tournament.
Format: all tournaments will be individual stroke play
Prizes: we will award a Gross and Net winner each week
This is a great way for all levels of play to stay sharp, make new friends, and learn how to play competitive golf.
All scoring and record keeping will be done on Golf Genius.

*Please note that we will not have the tournament series on certain Sundays due to other Club Events.

Who is eligible:

To be eligible to play in our junior golf tournament series, you must have your USGA GHIN handicap with us at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club (our “Player’s Club”).
Player’s Club price is $50 for an annual handicap membership for members and $65 for non-members of the club.

Divisions:

Ages 13-18
Boys will play the white tees
Girls will play red tees

Weekly Entry Fees:

CBGC Members: $10
Public / Non-Members: $40
All competitions are walking only. Pull carts available on a first come – first serve basis.

Prizes:

Prizes will be CBGC gift cards for low gross and low net.
Amounts will vary based on participation.

College Golf Consultation Services:

Chesapeake Bay Golf Club’s professional staff is also going to provide consultation services to all junior golfers to create a “college roadmap” to help them create a tournament schedule as well as assist them in the college recruitment process (which colleges to look for, which tournaments to sign up for, how to contact coaches etc.)
