Acceptance Speech

“It’s been a pretty crazy ride these past few weeks. Just holding this trophy is so surreal right now. I have to thank God for all of this – He gets all the glory for everything. These past few years have been very tough for me and my family and this means a lot. And without the support of my family, my girlfriend and her family, my brothers – I would not be able to be holding this trophy.”

“I want to thank GAP and Whitemarsh Valley for such a great tournament – it’s been an awesome week and yeah I’m so excited to be the champion.”

GAP TV – Video Recaps

Dad on the Bag

“He’s been my role model – really. He’s taught me everything I know about this game. It means a lot to me – but this means so much more to him just as a father. He’s been there every step of the way through all the failures and through the successes.”

“It means so much. You know especially with it being Father’s Day weekend. He’s been there every step of the way with all the ups and downs of my game and my life.”

“We just said that we love each other back and forth. I told him I was very thankful for him and all his sacrifices for me to play this game and to play in the tournament and just to play in tournaments in general.”

Austin – On His Short Game

“I was very confident in my short game. That’s one of the things that was not good, that is now one of the biggest strengths of my game.”
