Evan Barbin Wins at Moorestown

Junior Golf News.

Chesapeake Bay Golf Club junior golfer Evan Barbin (age 12) won The Philadelphia Junior Tour’s 12 & Under Event at Moorestown Field Club Friday, July 8, 2016 shooting a 37 (+1) on the over 100-year-old club. Seventeen competitors players played 9 Holes on the 2,698 yard par-36 golf course.

Evan won a push cart courtesy of tournament sponsor, BagBoy for taking home the first place prize. Finishing in the runner-up position, Henry Fish (Malvern, PA) carded a 38 (+2) to finish just one stroke back after making only two bogeys. Joshua Ryan (Norristown, PA) shot a round of 40 (+4) to finish in third place. His round was highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 fifth hole.

The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour leads the region in competitive junior golf, conducting over 90 events seasonally at top facilities. With more than 800 members, the Junior Tour is represented by players from every geographic location in the section.
