NE Hole 11
NE Hole #11 “Nature Walk”. As you wind up and down the path through the forest from the 10th green to the 11th tee you are reminded why Chesapeake Bay Golf Club is “your link with nature”. This tranquil setting, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, is what sets Chesapeake Bay Golf Club at North East apart and makes it a favorite to so many golfers.
This is one of the signature holes on the course. A beautiful look from the tee. A fairway bunker on left with a pond on the right to negotiate around. The play is left center – some prefer left rough to stay away from trouble.
The second shot is critical here – you must select the right club. Depending on where the pin is, the green has a hill running through the middle. If a front pin (“tournament pin”) make sure ball is on the lower level but be careful of the pot bunker guarding the green front.
If pin is back, make sure you get ball to the back to avoid a lengthy putt and possible 3 putt. Best bail out is left side with a simple uphill chip.
