Chesapeake Bay Golf Club is currently accepting job applications for the following positions:

Starter/Ranger

Duties:

  • Start golfing groups in an orderly and proper fashion so that they maintain the proper pace of play.
  • Ranger golf course to ensure proper pace of play and golf etiquette is being maintained.
  • Assist Golf Professionals and Pro Shop Staff with various duties to ensure that golfers are provided an enjoyable playing experience.  These duties include but are not limited to placing carts in line for golfers, checking and maintaining proper water levels in coolers on the course, setting up for golf outings, picking practice range when needed, maintaining a clean and neat appearance outside the pro shop and club house, assisting with outing set up and preparations, cleaning carts as needed and any other duties deemed necessary.

Must have good communications skills so as to promote the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club property at Rising Sun, Maryland and to greet players as they approach the 1st tee area and review all rules for that day (pace of play, pin positions, etc.) and any other items as listed on the Starters Greeting page.

Must be able to enforce the proper pace of play, golf course etiquette and any other items deemed necessary to allow for an enjoyable round of golf by all players.

Compensation: $7.50 per hour plus golfing privileges (cart not included).

Two to four shifts per week will be required.  Applicant must be able and willing to work at least one shift per weekend.  Shifts will vary weekly depending on outings and events taking place at both courses.  Starting times of shifts will vary depending on the time of year.
