NE Hole 10a

NE Hole #10 “Heron’s Haven”. A scene of the 10th hole Tee shot in the morning over the lake. The ladies, senior and championship tee’s are located on the other side of the dam. The two different tee complex’s make this hole unique.

If the markers are over the dam in the woods, the smart play is to keep the drive around 230 yds. Any further by a big hitter can be dangerous over the ridge. A wetland is on the entire right side so the play is left center of fairway.

If tees are set up on the alternative “over the water” tee – the smart play is to the 150 yard marker. This will provide the largest landing area. The carry is 200 yds to clear the wetlands and to be positioned in the fairway. However, a 265 yard shot could put you through the fairway in serious trouble.

The second shot is a knee knocker. Be smart and conservative. Danger awaits long and to the right side and a false front makes this shot very challenging. The proper bail out is left side giving you an easy chip.

The green is sloping back left to right front with plenty of subtle breaks.

Keep a lookout for Blue Herons — several have made this hole their home.
