AJGA Preseason Junior at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club

Sunday, May 3rd Round 2 Recap

RISING SUN, Md. — Brady Pevarnik of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, shot a 5-over-par 147 and medaled at the Preseason Junior at Chesapeake Bay presented by Golf Performance Center. In the Girls Division, Lauren Muhlbauer of Newtown, Pennsylvania, medaled after shooting a 12-over-par 154 at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club at Rising Sun.

Pevarnik maintained his place on the top of the leaderboard throughout the final round, but his birdie putt on No. 18 was the deciding factor in his victory, with two other players in the clubhouse at 6-over-par 148.

Michael Sydnes of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and Bruce Shober of Appomattox, Virginia, finished tied in second place at 6-over-par 148. Leo Oyo of (Japan) Lake Mary, Florida, and Zachary Barbin of Elkton, Maryland, are tied in fourth at 8-over-par 150.  Chesapeake Bay Golf Club Junior Golfer Austin Barbin of Elkton, Maryland finished tied in 11th place with a 13-over-par 155.

AJGA-Award-Win

Muhlbauer preserved her top-spot on the leaderboard in the Girls Division, carding two birdies and 10 pars en route to her 12-over-par 154.

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
